Kenny Pickett has had an incredible year.
It’s impossible to deny that the Pittsburgh quarterback has been one of the best in college football statistically. His 4,319 yards, 42 touchdowns, 81.5 QBR, and 92.3 PFF passing grade all rank within the top five among qualifying quarterbacks. He led Pittsburgh to their first ACC championship; they hadn’t won a conference championship since 2010 when they were still part of the Big East Conference. He’s been great. He’s quickly approaching consensus QB1 status in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. Does he deserve it?
What He Does Well
Kenny Pickett has really good eyes. His ability to diagnose a pre-snap defense is probably next to none in the class. Kenny’s eyes are constantly moving to the correct spots as he ticks through his progressions, and they do so at a fast pace.
